Obituary For Leroy Davis
Mr. Leroy Davis, 82, passed Monday, December 2, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Harrison Ford, officiating. Public viewing is 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
Leroy Davis was born July 20, 1942 in Phenix City, AL to the late Jessie Davis and Vinnie McGee Davis.
He accepted Christ at an early age. His level of education went up to the seventh grade because he had to work and help provide for the family.
Leroy was employed with a trucking company for many years until it closed down, followed by National Linen Services. He later retired at Wade Linen Services and he was also employed with Keep Clean Linen Services after his retirement.
On December 2, 2024 Leroy departed this life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Long Davis and his brother, Robert (Annie) Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Annie Mae Robinson Morris of Columbus,GA; daughters, Carolyn Long Brown of Columbus, GA, Barbara Jean (Ken) Alexander of Phenix City, AL/Atlanta, GA and Rhonda Gail Cliatt of Phenix City, AL; son, Leonard (Sharanda) Pitts of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren; One live in BESTFRIEND/ GREAT-GRANDSON, Jaylin I. Alexander, Christina J. Long, Whitney E. Alexander, Tiffany L. Long, Leslie D. Alexander, Ashley N. Alexander, Tyarance L. Cliatt, Angelica M. Cliatt, Quanda A. Cliatt, Chacore Benson, Tereis Benson, Joshua Mitchell, Leonard Pitts, Jr., Lance Pitts, Keierra Moffett, Brianna Kimbrough, Raven Moffett; devoted grandson, Bryan L. Williams and a host of great-grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
