Obituary For Lillie Austin
Minister Lillie A. Austin, 69, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will held at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Franchise Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Battle, officiating. Burial in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Born on January 30, 1957, in Pittsview, AL, Minister Lillie A. Austin was the beloved daughter of the late Johnnie L. Battle and Lillie M. Battle. She attended Chavala High School and graduated in 1975.
Throughout her life, Minister Lillie A. Austin retired from Panasonic Energy of Columbus, GA. She recently held the position of office administrator at TEARS Inc. of Phenix City, AL. She was the heart behind Taste of LA, sharing love for cooking by creating delicious meals that brought family, friends, and loved ones together. Her passion for baking was a special part of who she was, and her cakes will be fondly remembered.
She received Christ at an early age and had been a devoted prayer warrior for over 30 years. She was a member of Morning Glory Ministries of Phenix City, AL, where she was a faithful intercessor.
Minister Lillie A. Austin was preceded in death by the love of her life, Mr. Isacc Austin Jr.; her daughter, Charee A. Smith; and brother Sammy L. Battle.
Her legacy of unconditional love lives through her children, Cortorria L. Smith and Archie (Rose) Smith Jr.; surviving siblings, five sisters and four brothers, Bettye Edmonds, Johnny Battle, Pastor Robert (Molly) Battle, Evangelist Virginia (late Willie) Battle, Apostle Dr. Mary (Donny) Lewis, Maurice (James) Taylor, Jeanell King, Donnell (Ethel) Battle, and Minister Ronnie (Rhonda) Battle. She leaves to cherish her precious memory a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with a loving extended family and friends whose lives she touched with her love.
Minister Lillie A. Austin wil be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Mesha,AJ and Arlana, Mr.Austin although your heart is heavy now. She Loved you all with all she had. Lillie was the light in a room,full of Love and laughter. Beautiful WOG inside and out. We were co-workers, an friends. I Thank God I was apart of her dash. The memories is what God allows, so Smith and Austin Families Hold on to that and Be encouraged. Minister Austin was a tremendous blessing to my life. She always greeted me with a beautiful smile and a warm hug. We had various occasions to share moments of reflection and laughter about similar experiences along this life journey. At times that were particularly difficult she had a discernment and insight to share her wisdom and words of encouragement for my spirit. I will miss her dearly.

Your last words saying to me was I love you too before I went to work I will always love you forever.
So sorry to hear of Lille passing. We went to School together at Chavala High School and both lived in Pittsview. May the family find peace in the memories of Lillie.

We always hung out together and got along very well.But when we grew up I moved away and didn't see much of any of my Class Mates until I returned home to attend our 50th Class return two years ago And she still looked the same as she did when we were in school β€οΈ.But to be Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
