Louise Watkins, 77, passed on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in Ft. Mitchell, AL.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. John AME Church, FT. Mitchell, AL with Rev. Dr. Issac Hudson, Pastor, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing is 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Mrs. Louise Watkins was born on January 15, 1948 to the late Hockles Holloway and the late Laura James. She confessed Christ at an early age and later joined Saint John AME Church in Fort Mitchell, AL.

She served as a faithful member of the Stewardess Board, a member of the Inspirational Choir and member of the Sunday School.

She worked in House Keeping until she retired.

Lousie was preceded in death by her husband Mr. George Watkins, parents, Mr. Hockles Holloway and Ms. Laura James, sister, Mrs. Mattie James, and two brothers, Jimmy Holloway and Hockles Holloway, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Ida May Day of Columbus, Ga; one devoted nephew, Curtis James; three devoted nieces, Debra (Robert) Jackson, Gloria (Donald) Jackson, and Judy Geiger all of Fort Mitchell, AL, four brothers-in-law, Walter (Betty) Watkins, Perry (Gloria) Watkins, Walker Watkins and Clifford Watkins; three sisters-in-law, Julia Mitchell, Charsie (Aubrey) Vassar and Dorothy (Hank) Artis. She also leaves beloved family members, Tiffany Hubb, Mary Howard and Loretta Rose and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
