Mrs. Margaret M. Fuller Jones, 93, of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, November 22, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, December 3, 2021 at Philippians Church of God in Christ, 301 35th Street, Columbus, GA with Elder Ronald Duckworth, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 12-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Jones was born September 27, 1928 Salem, AL to the late Zollie Fuller and the late Mary Allen Fuller. Her early Christian life was spent at Nazareth Baptist Church, Opelika, AL and later became a member of Walker Temple/Philippians Church of God in Christ where she faithfully served as a member of the Senior Usher Board Ministry and Kitchen/Hospitality. She was educated in the Lee County School System, notability the J.W. Darden High School, Opelika, AL.
In 1948 Mother Jones and Robert Lee Jones were joined in Holy Matrimony and to this union six children were born.
She was preceded in death by Robert Lee Jones, Sr., Frank Howard Jones, Robert Lee Jones, Jr., Mildred Jones Buckner; son-in-law, Hollis Eugene Frierson and great grandson, Jamaal Aikeem Hubbard.
Precious memories are are shared by her daughter, Mary Frierson, Fortson, GA; two sons sons, David Jones, Phenix City, AL and Gregory (Cynthia) Jones, McDonough, GA; daughter-in-law, Marie Jones, Phenix City, AL; son-in-law, Auburn Buckner of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren host of other relatives and friends.
To God Be The Glory! Our community was blessed to have praying and loving mothers, like Mother Jones, who positively impacted the lives of so many neighborhood children! It was evident that you were with a Child of God whenever you were in her presence; so much love and compassion!
