Mary Glaze, 62, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Davis Sr., brother, Nathan Davis Jr., and her sister Elizabeth Davis. She is survived by her mother, Minnie Lee Davis; her husband, Johnny Glaze; and her children, Erica Jones-Banks, Sharon Arnold, Latoyia Jones, Eric Jones, and Keaira Mullins.
Mary dedicated 27 years of her life as a housekeeper at Phenix City Healthcare (Arabella Nursing Home), where her strong work ethic and caring spirit touched many lives. She took pride in her work and was known for her dependability, warmth, and gentle nature. Throughout her years there she built meaningful friendships with many of her coworkers, whose love, support, and kindness meant so much to her and her family during her journey.
Above all, Mary loved her family deeply. She found great joy in cooking for them, often bringing everyone together through her meals and her presence in the home. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, love, and connection.
Faith was a cornerstone of Mary's life. She leaned on her beliefs through life's challenges and carried a quiet strength that inspired those around her. She had a big heart and a natural instinct to help others, always finding waysβbig or smallβto make a difference in someone else's life.
Mary also had a gift for finding goodness in difficult situations. She could see light in dark moments and reminded others that hope is always present, even in hardship. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, faith, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory eight grandchildren: Monterrius, Camden, Karter, Eli, Mckinley, Tristian, Emani, and Kenleigh. She is also survived by her sisters, Annie M. Jones, Ruby L. Calhoun, Bettie J. Smith, Jessie M. Coleman, and brother Tyrone Davis, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
