Obituary For Mary Murray
Mary Murray, 98, of Seale, AL, passed on Friday, July 24, 2026 in Seale, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST, on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Cool Springs Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Sammie Davis officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m EST to 1:00 p.m. EST on the day of service at the church.
Mary Liza Murray was born June 1, 1928, and entered eternal rest on July 24, 2026, at the blessed age of 98.
Mary live a long meaningful life centered on faith, family, love, and service. She was a woman who loved the Lord and remained deeply involved in church throughout her life. Her family will remember her warm presence, her singing, her cookingh, and the joy she found simply being surrounded by the people she loved.
On August 7, 1948, Mary married Abe Murray, Jr. Their union became part of a beautiful family legacy that continued through their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations beyond.
To her children she was “Mama”, and to her grandchildren she was “Grandma.” Her life was a testimony of endurance, devotion, and love. Through nearly a century of life,she witnessed seasons of change while holding firmly to the values and faith that guided her.
Mary's earthly journey has ended, but the love she poured into her family will continue to live in every life she touched. Her memory will remain a blessing, and her legacy will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

I am thankful to have had you as my Mother-in-law and for blessing me with your amazing son Louis. I have good memories of many trips to Alabama and your trips visiting us in Chicago. What stood out for me was your sense of humor which you passed on to Louis. May your soul rest in God's presence with your loved ones.

My sincere condolences to the Murray family during this difficult time. I didn't have the privilege of knowing Ms. Murray personally, but I've been blessed to know her grandsons, Jr. and Buck, for many years. They are dear friends of mine, and through them I've seen the kind of character and values that speak volumes about the family she helped shape. I'm praying that God grants you all comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead. May her memory continue to be a blessing. 🙏🏽🕊️
