Mrs. Mary Williams, 80, passed on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Gregory Sutton, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 1 - 4 p.m. EST.
Mrs. Mary Louise Williams was born March 15, 1945 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Diorious Brooks and Odell Hill-Brooks.
She accepted Christ at an early age where she was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and after marriage she changed her membership to Mt.Olive Baptist Church where she was in the choir and a Deaconess.
Mrs. Williams retired from the Russell County School system.
On Monday October 28, 2025, Mrs. Mary Louise Williams was called to eternal rest at Pedimont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, GA. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Early George Brooks and Stanley Brooks; one sister, Laverne Burnam.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joseph L Williams Jr.; one son, Dewayne (Jackie) of Phenix City AL; two daughters, Angela Williams of Columbus Ga and Erica (Eric) Goines of Conyers, Ga; one sister, Shearline Broadnax of Columbus, Ga and five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Joseph we send our sincere condolences to you and the family. Mary was such a Beautiful person, always with a smile is how we will remember her. Hold on to your Hope in Christ Jesus you will meet again. May you be comforted with a legacy of great memories in time and God bless you and the family. Keeping you lifted in prayer.
