Condolences
My deepest condolences to the family of Melvin Jones. Melvin was an old classmate and a friend from back in the day. I moved away a long time ago, but I have always thought about Melvin and the good times we shared. We played basketball together, and those memories have stayed with me throughout the years.
My prayers and heartfelt sympathy go out to his family and everyone who loved him. May Melvin rest in peace, and may his memories live on forever. Cliff Robinson

As a member of the 1971 graduating class of Mount Olive High School, I will always remember Melvin with a smile for the humor and light-hearted spirit he brought to our class. Even when he didn't initiate a joke or prank, he would usually do or say something to enhance or elevate it. We loved him and will always remember him fondly. Deborah Lewis Davidson
Our sincere condolences to the family. It's a time our grief for us as classmates of Melvin because he was considered one of popular classmates being the "clown of the class" always having a joke and making us laugh. We will miss him but will never forget him. God bless the family and hold fast to your faith and hope in Christ Jesus. Keeping you lifted in prayer. Class of '71
