Ms. Ollie Vaughn was born November 18, 1949, in Russell County, Alabama to the late Oliver Love Vaughn and the late Carrie Vaughn. Ollie was the second of four children Ollie went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2026.
Ollie received Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Crawford, AL. She was educated at Oliver High School. Later in life she joined Greater Peace Baptist Church. Ollie was a faithful member until her sickness. She was church parliamentarian as well as a deaconess, on the mother board, Sunday school teacher and usher board number 3.
She was employed by Fieldcrest Mill for over thirty years and was a union representative. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star where she held many positions and later earned the title of Pass Matron.
She enjoyed her life through traveling, shopping and dining at Olive Garden with her close friends, Gerdie Buford and Margaret McCoy. She donated her time and money to Open Door Community House.
Ollie's legacy is one of love, kindness and unwavering faith. Her love for her family was unmatched. She was a source of wisdom, prioritizing her family above all else. She was the matriarch of the family, and her home was a haven for all who entered. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in her 76 years of a life well-lived and the immense love she left behind.
