Obituary For Patrick J. Ware
Patrick entered his heavenly home on Sunday, November 26, 2023. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30 p.m. at Holsey Chapel C.M.E. Church in Columbus, Georgia.
Patrick was born on August 27, 1965 in Killeen, Texas, he was the third child of the late James and Eranga M. Ware. He was preceded in death by one niece, Rahsheda Jenne Daniels and one nephew, Lendon James Alexander, Esq.
Patrick accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He joined the Holsey Chapel C.M.E. Church family and worked faithfully, he served as an advisor of the Youth Usher Board and was a member of the Steward Board member until he relocated to Savannah, Georgia.
Patrick graduated with pride as a Golden Hawk from Hardaway High School with the Class of 1983. He continued his post-secondary education at Chattahoochee Valley State Community College in Phenix City, Alabama earning an Associate's Degree in Applied Science, majoring in Radio & Television Broadcasting. He did not waste time putting his education to use in working as the Public Affairs Director at Davis Broadcasting, Inc. (WOKS/WFXE) and McClure Broadcasting, Inc. (WCGQ/WRCG) as a News Reporter, he covered the local news, national news, press conferences and community activities. This was a Patrick's true calling, he was blessed with the gift of speaking and he never met a stranger! Patrick also worked in the food service industry for a number of years. Patrick's other passion was cooking, he perfected this gift under the tutelage of his mother, he loved cooking and baking as a way to honor her.
Patrick leaves to celebrate his life, his siblings, Belinda L. Robinson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph (Kathleen) Ware and Valerie Ware Alexander of Columbus, Georgia, two aunts, Alcenia Stephens of Detroit, Michigan, Mary W. Taylor of Midland, Georgia, four nieces, Kamelah Warren of Columbus, Georgia, Belinda (Anthony) Marentic of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christina Y. Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizona and K'Dia (Brian) Powell of Douglasville, Georgia and a clan of first cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.
