Mr. Phillip "Ted" Jackson, Sr., 71, of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church with Rev. W. G. Perkins, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Public visitation will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. EST.
Mr. Phillip Jackson was born July 18, 1950 to Alice Lee Taylor and the late George Turpin in Russell County. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. He was employed at Field Crest Mills for over 30 years until he retired due to health reasons. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Carrie Jackson.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Alice Lee Taylor; two children, Phillip (Jeannie) Jackson, Jr. of Florida and Felicia Coppins of Columbus, Georgia; one sister, Judith Mae Sharpe; two brothers, Ralph “Soul” Jackson and Albert “Soul” Jackson; one nephew, Curtis Jackson; four nieces, Patricia Johnson, Contestsa Sharpe, Courtney Sharpe, and Monica Jackson; eight grand children, Breanna Jackson, Amina Jackson, Travon Jackson Trenton Jackson, Noel Gardner, Dewayne Gardner, Cordarrell Coppins and Jaylen Coppins; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
He was a good neighbor and friend he will be missed by all.
