Mr. Raleigh Leroy Hill, Sr., 88, of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service will be 8:30 a.m. EST, Friday, September 1, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Jake Golden, officiating. Burial to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 12-5 p.m. EST.

Raleigh Leroy Hill, Sr. “Boss” was born on May 5, 1935 in Surry Co. Virginia to the late Georgia Hill.

Boss joined the United States Army right out of high school and served as an MP. Afterwards, he led a very successful career in construction, building many beautiful homes and buildings. Boss truly lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of fishing, pottery, cooking, sewing and puzzles. He touched the lives of many during his time on Earth. His presence will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in by his first wife of 53 years, Edna McCoy Hill; two sons, Donald McCoy and Antionio McCoy and one granddaughter, Montrezica K. Rogers.

Boss is survived by his wife of eight years, Ruby Hill; three sons, Jeffery McCoy, Phenix City, AL Raleigh Hill, Jr. (Angela) of Suffolk, VA and Richard Hill, Phenix City, AL; one daughter Rosiland Hill, Phenix City, AL; a devoted and loving stepdaughter, Mrs. Linda Ann Pridgett (Frank); two stepsons, Jerome Eiland, Atmore, AL and Furqan Muhammad, Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
