Richard Harvey, 73, passed on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Tuskegee, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
SGT. Richard Harvey passed peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 73.
SGT. Richard Harvey is preceded by his (father) (Mr. Tommie Lee Harvey Sr., (mother) Mrs. Willie Bell Ware - Harvey (Brother) Tommie Lee Harvey Jr., (Brother) Lewis Harvey.
Richard was born on November 14, 1951, in Union Springs, Alabama, to his parents, Mr. Tommie Lee Harvey Sr. and Mrs. Willie Bell Ware - Harvey. He went to South Girard High and graduated from Carver High School.
In 1971, he went on to serve the United States Air Force for 8 years and spent a great amount of his time living in Atlanta, Georgia, where he built a career with Coca-Cola.
SGT. Richard Harvey absolutely loved to watch football. Watching football with family was very special to him, and also, he loved Cadillacs. In his younger years, he purchased them and drove them everywhere with style.

Richard Harvey is survived by (sisters), Betty Jean Harvey - Glance, (Allen), Gloria Dean Harvey - Wallace (Reuben), his (nieces), Teresas Glance - Richards, Rachel Glance, Nicole Wallace, his (nephew) Reginald Harvey, his (great-niece) Taylor Richards, his (great-nephew) David Duncan, his (uncle) J.L Harvey. The Tarver Family, The Glance Family, The Austin Family, The Lewis Family, The McCoy Family, The Davis, and The Wilson Family.
Uncle Rick, I'm gonna miss you so much, I'm gonna miss all of your stories you had for me, I learned a lot from you just by the stories of your everyday life from your high school days etc. Thank you, your niece Rachel.
Rick was a very sweet and quiet person. I will miss him seeing him at the Patroit Pointe!
