Mr. Richard James Harvey, affectionally known as Rich, Yankee and Richie, 33, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, October 1, 2022 in the C. T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Melody Howell, officiating.
Mr. Harvey was born February 22, 1989 in Queens, NY to the late Linda Jean King and Leslie Harvey. He was a member of Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club. He loved riding his bike. He was a devoted husband and father. Always tried to be the peace maker and stay out of drama. He always spread joy and happiness. Rich was always there for the people he loved. He loved to travel and was always dancing. He graduated high school in 2006. He faithfully served in the United States Army with two tours overseas. He enjoyed all sports especially football. The love for his family was amazing and he touched the heart of everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Jean King and Leslie Harvey.
Survivors include his wife, Kera Harvey; three daughters, Amira Harvey of St. Robert, MO, Maleia Benson and Maisha Harvey of Ft. Mitchell, AL; three sons, Demarcus Benson, Leslie Harvey and Richard Harvey, Jr. all of Ft. Mitchell, AL; mother-in-law, Leatrice Person of Midland, GA; father-in-law, Scott Aston of Painsville, OH; special cousin/daughter, Amaya Battle; four brothers, Eddie King, Bobby King, Jermaine Mohondhis all of Brooklyn, NY and Leslie Mohondhis of CA; seven sisters, Lawana King and Latonya Harvey of Brooklyn, NY; Shiniqua King of Maryland, Samantha Mohondhis and Shakeima Mohondhis of Far Rockaway, NY, Majidat Mohondhis and Jessica Harvey of Columbus, GA; three honorary brothers, Anthony Reid, Markus Kindell and Stacy Keller.
