Mr. Rickey Bailey, 67, of Columbus, GA passed on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Rockdale, GA.
Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, April 19, 2024 at the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. No public visitation.
Mr. Rickey Bailey was born in Columbus, GA on January 16, 1957 to James and Ella M. Bailey. He was the oldest of six children. He graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in 1974 and joined the United States Navy in September of that year serving three years. Rickey received his college degree from Columbus State University in 1986. He was a dedicated Lineman for Georgia Power until his health declined serving 40 years with the company.
Rickey loved his family and didn't take the role of being the oldest lightly. When it came to work ethics and education, he was compassionate and desired to see his family succeed in life. He was proceeded in death by his father, James Bailey, his sister Catherine Bailey White and one brother, James Bailey.
On November 1, 2017, Rickey was united in holy matrimony to Carmen Delores Pace and resided in Conyers, GA.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Carmen Bailey, his mother, Ella M. Bailey, one brother, Wayne Bailey, three sisters, Gail, (Milton) Logan, Tammie Y. (Darrell) Meadows, Jamie Bailey all of Columbus, GA four children: Jose(Andrea) Pace of Columbus, GA, daughter, Carletta (Bobby) Bonner of Conyers, GA, Kenya Williams of Columbus, GA, daughter, Shakita (Kelvin) Hunter of Smiths Station, AL; a special nephew, Amir Oneal, 22 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, and a host of loving nephews, nieces, and cousins.
