Robert Fort, 35, passed on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Pryce Battle, officiating. Burial to follow at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery, 531 Bethel Rd, Pittsview, AL. Public visitation is 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Robert “Big Taye” Fort was born June 4, 1990 in Union Springs, AL to Ms. Queen Fort and Mr. Billy Davis. After a brief illness, he closed his eyes at his home he shared with his girlfriend and companion, Ms. Causandra Williams, mother of his three children.
Robert was a kind, loving and funny person, who loved God, family and friends. He professed Christ as his Lord and Saviour in the early chapter of his adult life and he was a blessing to many people.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Master Josaih "Jo Jo" Sumbry; his maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Fort; his paternal grandparents, Robert Davis and Rosie Davis, and his Infant brother, Master Billy Toombs.
He leaves to forever cherish his memories three children, a beautiful little diva, his daughter, Paislee Fort and two energetic boys, his sons, Kingslee Fort and Jayce Lee Williams; his companion and co-parent, Miss Causandra Williams; his loving and
caring parents, Miss Queen Fort of Pittsview, AL and Mr. Billy Davis of Phenix City, AL; two brothers who called him their General, Ryan Fort and Rayvaughn Fort of Pittsview, AL; two sisters, April Toombs and Alexandria Toombs of Phenix City, AL; a doting and devoted grandmother, Doris Fort of Pittsview, AL;
four maternal aunts who he was especially fond of, Delta Evans, Nancy Fort and Bobbie Upshaw of Phenix City, AL and LaTonya (Willie) Williams of Pittsview, AL; three uncles, Elder Fort, Howard
Turks and Willie Williams of Pittsview, AL; six paternal uncles, Albert Davis of Gary, IN, Lloyd (Doris) Davis of Seale, AL, Louis (Carrie) Davis of Hatchechubbee, AL, Sammy Davis and James Davis of Phenix City,
AL and Richard (Martha) Howard of Hazel Green, AL; six paternal aunts, Eddie Mary Passmore, of Quincy, FL, Mary (Robert) Perry, Pittsview, AL, Elder Carrie Lanier, Jacqueline Griffin, Alicia Williams and Jennifer Bennett all of Phenix City, AL
The loss of Robert will forever impact the lives of the ones who loved him including his familv besties who were his cousins by blood and friends by choice, and a host of other relatives and friends. Robert will also be affectionately missed by his former spouse, Mrs. Kristen Kimber Fort with whom he remained friends.
