Christian Johnson, 60, of Columbus, GA passed on Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Friendship Baptist Church, Columbus, GA with Rev. Arthur Mitchell, officiating. Burial to follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Taylor Funeral Home.
Ronald “Chris” Johnson was born on March 9, 1966, In Newport News, Virginia to the late Carolyn Johnson Robert Johnson Sr. He departed this life on April 19, 2026. Chris was one of three siblings born into the Johnson family.
He graduated in 1984 from G.W. Carver High School. After serving in the United States Army, Chris spent more than 30 years driving trucks, a career he took great pride in.
Those who knew Chris knew how much he enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, and his in younger years playing basketball, where he admired and aspired to be like Dr. J.
Chris was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn W. Johnson and Robert L. Johnson, Sr.
Chris leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Jasmine Johnson of Columbus, GA and Alexis Daniels of Chicago, IL; one son, Nakia Lee of Columbus, GA; his siblings, Bob Johnson, Jr. of Columbus, GA and Chanda Johnson of Columbus, GA; his uncle, John White (Tina) of Newport News, VA; nieces, Alliyah Cotton and Lindsey Johnson; nephew, Landon Cotton; grandchildren, Kynleigh Hodges, Hendrix Fain, and Harlym Fain; and a host of extended family and friends.
