Mr. Ruben Wiggins, Jr., 71, of Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Quardarious Hood, officiating. Burial to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Ruben Wiggins, Jr. "Junior" was born June 16, 1952 in Phenix City, AL.
Ruben attended South Girard High School and graduated in 1970. He attended Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) before getting drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served until 1975. He worked in various fields throughout his life, including IT. He loved music, watching movies, and made friends wherever he went. He served as a mentor to many.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Wiggins; mother, Gladys Wiggins and father, Ruben Wiggins, Sr.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories a daughter, Torie (Aaron) Wilkins of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Alfonso Wiggins and Timothy Wiggins both of Phenix City, AL; nieces and nephews; close friend, Jeffery Hunter; Michelle Williams, whom he loved like a daughter and a wealth of other family members and friends.
