Ruby Tarver, 69, of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday, September 1, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Desi Morgan, officiating. Interment to follow at Edmonds Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST.
Ms. Ruby J. Tarver graced this life with her presence on March 25, 1956. Born in Phenix City, AL to the late Ada B. Henry-Robinson and Nathan Robinson. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She peacefully departed this life on August 23, 2025 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Ruby was united in Holy Matrimony in the early 70’s to George Tarver. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Ms. Tarver worked as a production worker for several years at Fieldcrest Mill in Phenix City, AL, and later became a manufacturing worker at Char-Broil in Columbus, GA. She had a passion for cooking, fishing, and gardening. She loved listening to the down home blues and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ada B. Henry-Robinson and her father, Nathan Robisnon, also two sisters and four brothers.
Ms. Ruby J. Tarver leaves to cherish her precious memories with her son Patrick (TeArsha) Tarver; five sisters, Essie M. Robinson, Annie M. Robinson (Virgil), Barbara Weeks, Shirley Thompson, and Wanda (Kevin) Thorn; four brothers, John L. Robinson (Mary), Jimmy L. Robinson (Carolyn), Tommy Woods, and Mike (Kim) Wood; also cherishing her memories are five grandchildren, Shakira Smith, Shaneque Lewis, Justin Williams, Kaison Tarver, Kobi Tarver; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends that also hold many memories.
