Obituary For SFC James Thomas Hopkins, Jr.

SFC James Thomas Hopkins, Jr., 64, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Friday, July 2, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Apostle Jerry Midgette, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. EST.

SFC. Hopkins was born August 18, 1856 in Washington, NC to the late James Hopkins and Mary Hopkins. He served 24 years in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Hopkins of Ft. Mitchell, AL; four daughters, Rachel (Brandon) Scott and Ebone (Courtenay) Walker both of Columbus, OH; Takia Watson of Phenix City, AL and Alexis Hopkins of Ft. Mitchell, AL; three sisters, Barbara (Keith) Simmons and Jennette (Warren) Smith both of Washington, NC and Mary St. Fluer of Syracuse, NY and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
