Mrs. Sharonda Nathan Miller, 47, of Columbus, GA passed Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST Friday, March 18, 2022 at Nichols Chapel A.M.E Church Phenix City, AL Rev. Richard Carter, Pastor, officiating and Rev. Jesse Grooms, eulogist. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation is Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
She attended elementary school in Muscogee County, GA and Cumberland County, NC. She was in the Carver High School graduating class of 1993 and attended Meadows College in Columbus, GA becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Sharonda pursued a career in healthcare working for Deerfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center now Rivertown Nursing Facility as a Rehabilitation Aide for several years.
Sharonda married the love of her life and best friend Darren Miller on November 28, 2020. She confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age at Nichols Chapel AME Church in Phenix City, AL.
She was preceded in death by her father, John T. Johnson, Jr.; stepfather, Billy (Pete) Wilson and grandfather, Johnny Cannon.
Precious memories will be cherished by her husband, Darren Miller; daughter, Jayla Williams of Columbus, GA; mother, Rev. Priscilla Wilson of Phenix City, AL; three sisters, Baschala (Timothy) Streeter of Phenix City, AL,Wendy (Kenny) Patterson of Columbus, GA and Gwendolyn (Michael) Wilkins of Houston, TX; one brother, Jeremy Wilson of Phenix City, AL; maternal grandmother, Doris Cannon of Columbus, GA; paternal grandfather, John T. Johnson, Sr. of Phenix City, AL; five aunts, Catherine Cainion (god mother) of Columbus, GA, Johnnie Wilson, Lisa (Emanuel) Thompson of Ellenwood, GA, Sharon Golden and Sharlene Brunson both of Columbus, GA; one uncle, Michael Nathan of Columbus, GA; two sisters-in-law, Dellarie (Kenneth) Blackmon of Columbus, GA, and Shawna (Kevin) Tolbert of Atlanta, GA.; one brother-in-law, Barry (Albertha) Miller of Columbus, GA and a host of relatives and friends.
