Obituary For Sherman Bernard Robinson

Sherman Robinson, 67, passed on Thursday, September 19, 2024 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Monday, September 23, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial in Motts Church of Christ Cemetery. Public viewing is 12:00-5:00 p.m EST on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Sherman Bernard Robinson, age 67, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. He was born on August 28, 1957, in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late Booker T. Robinson and Sara Ann Mitchell-Abrams. He was a proud resident of Smiths Station, Alabama and attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College to study Art which was one of his talents. A man of many passions, Sherman enjoyed fishing, sports, drawing, listening to music, watching classic cartoons and collecting comic books. He was an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Booker T. Robinson and Sara Ann Abrams, and his siblings, Teresa Robinson, James Ivory Harris and his wife Shirley Robinson.He worked at West Point Pepperell and retired, Sherman was very outgoing and loved teasing his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving big brother, Jimmy Ray Sturdivant (Ruby) and a loving little sister, Deborah Sanford of Smiths, Alabama and loving stepfather, Harold Abrams. He will be deeply be missed by his nieces and nephews who he loved as his children and a host of cousins and friends.
