MRS. SHIRLEY ANN HUGULEY
Mrs. Shirley Huguley was born April 16, 1952, in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late John and Ida Mae Crowell. She attended Central High School and graduated in 1970. At an early age, she met Willie C. Huguley, and together they built a marriage that spanned over 50 years, blessed with two beautiful children.
Shirley received Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She poured her heart into 40 years of service at Canterbury Nursing Home and Walmart before her well-deserved retirement in 2013.
A woman of deep devotion, Shirley treasured her family above all else and cherished every moment spent creating lasting memories with them. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—watching her favorite soap operas, working through crossword puzzles, and sharing weekend FaceTime calls with her beloved granddaughter De'Vinity, whose smile always brightened her day.
On August 15, 2026, God called her home to eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida Crowell; her brothers, Preston and John Thomas Crowell; and her sisters, Naomi Alexander, Mary Emily Hill, and Gloria "Dean" Cleveland.
Shirley's legacy of unconditional love and cherished memories lives on in her children, Derrick Huguley (Pharisha), Latonia Huguley; and Dedrijinett “Dedra” Tate (Mark); and her grandchildren, Claire, Sydney, Sabry, and De'Vinity; her loving sister, Meretha (Lindsey) Ashford; and a host of devoted extended family, nieces, and nephews who were blessed to know her.
