Tony Lamar Hood, 58, of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. EST, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Alphonso Thomas, officiating. Interment to follow in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST, Monday, June 3, 2024.

Mr. Tony Hood departed his life on May 23, 2024, at his residence.

Tony was a retired Master Sergeant of 26 years in the Air Force.

As a retired Air Forceman Tony enjoyed working out, playing basketball, watching sports, listening to music, playing with his babies Zola and Zeus, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Stephens.

He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy, a loving and supportive wife of 30 years Mrs. Naya Ileana Hood; mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hood Dixon; step-mother, Dorothy Stephens; mother-in-law, Gloria Jones; five brothers, Lester Tyrone (Marion) Hood, Rickey Renard Hood of Columbus, Stanley Hood of Phenix City, AL, Sheridan Marcel Stephens and Alaric Juan Stephens both of Smith Station, AL; two uncles, Alvin Hood and Ceasar Stephens of Crawford, AL.; eight aunts, Ozell Hood, Sarah Hood, Faye Stephens, Patricia (Grandy) Feagins of Crawford, AL, Lucille (Gary) Stephens and Ella Stephens both of Atlanta, GA, Mary Stephens, Minnie Stephens of Brooklyn, New York; three great aunts, Rosa (James) Davis, Willie B. Alexander of Phenix City, AL, Bernice Moore of Salem, AL; seven nieces; two nephews; seven great nieces; seven great nephews; a host of cousins and friends. Tony was the God father of Janiyah Townsend.
