Mr. Travis Brooks, 43, of Columbus, GA passed Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Dr. Patrick T. Brown, pastor and Pastor Daniel Skinner, officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Brooks was born September 14, 1979 in Columbus, GA to Theo Brooks and the late Barbara Jean Walton.
He accepted Christ as an adult and he loved the Lord. He worked at Claxton Poultry in Claxton, GA. His most recent job was at Taco Tequila in Buckhead, GA for many years until his health failed him. Travis was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Travis was preceded in death by his loving mother, Barbara Jean Walton and his loving brother, Theo Duane Brooks.
He leaves his fondest memories with his two beautiful daughters, Treveyah Armani Brooks and Jalayah Renee' Brooks of Claxton, GA; his loving devoted father, Theo (Sandra) Brooks of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Pamela Brooks, Chantel (Alfred) Burke of Columbus, GA and Valerie (Michael) Mais of Ypsilanti, MI; three brothers, Gregory Brooks, Daniel Hughes of Columbus, GA and Dwayne (Mildred) Bennett of Phenix City, AL; one step sister, Calandra Long of Columbus, GA; one step brother, Donald (Tawanna) Long of Roswell, GA; 13 nieces; six nephews; four great nieces and seven great nephews; three devoted childhood friends, Jerome Bradley, Demetrius Mathis and Timothy Forest of Columbus, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
