Mr. Victor Eric McCoy of Phenix City AL passed August 7, 2025, in Columbus, GA.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm EST, Thursday, August 14, 2025, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Angela James, officiating and burial in Green Acres Cemetery. Public viewing will be 2:00 to 5:00 pm EST., Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Victor Eric McCoy, 65, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025 in his hometown at St. Francis Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1959. Victor was the beloved son of the late Roosevelt McCoy, Sr. and Marguerite Day McCoy. Victor is preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda McCoy.
Victor was educated in the Phenix City School System and was a proud 1977 graduate of Central High School. He began his career working at the board of education before joining FedEx where he dedicated 16 years of service prior to his retirement. Not one to stay idol he returned to the workforce with DSI Security at Mead, where he served faithfully until his second retirement in 2020.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Victoria James (Kenny); his cherished granddaughter, Kaydence James, who brought endless joy to his life. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Roosevelt (Toot) McCoy, Jr.; two nieces, Erica McCoy McKenzie and Caragon Jones-McCoy; one Nephew, Ryan McCoy; a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Victor will be remembered for his warm heart status and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched with kindness and generosity.
