Mr. Walter Crawford Jackson, Jr., 69, of Morrow, GA passed Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Lyles, officiating. Interment to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL.
Walter Crawford Jackson, Jr. was born August 21, 1953 to Walter C. Jackson, Sr. and Willie Mae Jackson in Detroit, Michigan.
Walter was educated in the Hillsborough County Public School System. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army and retired after 21 years of active service as a Sergeant First Class. His second career path was with the Amalie Arena where he enjoyed working with the Tampa Bay Lightning. If you spent anytime with him you would definitely hear about the Lightning and their wins. He was an adamant sports fan.
Walter married Victoria Taylor April 20, 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Edison Few, Patricia Jackson and Ronnie Jackson.
Walter leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Victoria "Vickie" Taylor-Jackson, Morrow, GA; daughter, Keisha (Lamar) Taylor-Hollis, Columbia, SC; granddaughter, Tahlia Hollis, Greensboro, NC; sisters, Cynthia (Rubin) Few, Tampa, FL and Sharon Reynold, Sacarmento, CA; brother, Earl (Mary) Jackson, Tampa, FL; aunt, Juanita Brown, Tampa, FL; brothers-in- law, Gerald Bowden, Jonesboro, GA and Cortez Taylor, Columbus, GA; sisters-in-law, Catherine Bowden, Loretta Taylor and Genette Jackson; loving nieces, nephews, cousins, his work-daughter Sherrise McCrary and his Amalie Arena family and a host of other relatives and friends.
