Mr. Wesley L. Jones, 38, of Columbus, GA on passed Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Monday, July 7, 2025 at Nichols Chapel AME Church with Pastor Wendell Jones, officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.
Wesley Lee Jones, 38, of Reidsville, Georgia passed away on June 25, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1986, and during his life, he was known for his deep love for God and his dedication to personal growth. Wesley faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, always striving to learn from his past and become a better man.
Wesley’s greatest joy was his son, Wesley Jones Jr. whom he loved deeply and proudly. He also leaves behind his loving father, Wesley Jones, Sr; Six devoted sisters: Tanya (Aaron) Moody, Fallon (Antonio) Wright, Domonique Jones, Tammy Williams, Wendy Dennison and Tamara Morgan; one brother, Wilbert (Cynetha) Williams; two aunts, Harriette Hayes and Charlotte Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Wesley was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Versia Jones and loving Stepmother Christine Dennison, whose memories remained a guiding light in his life.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Francis Jones and Robert (Rosell) Blount, Two aunts: Clara Thomas and Hilda Blount, Three Uncles: Isaiah Buford, Oscar Buford and Clark Buford.
Wesley will be remembered for his warm heart, resilient spirit, infectious smile and the way he inspired others with his journey of faith and self-improvement. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
