Quietly and peacefully, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, her Heavenly Father allowed her to transition from this earthly realm into eternal rest. She was blessed to have lived a beautiful life of 85 years. She was a faithful and dedicated child of God with a beautiful and quiet soul.
"BB" taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, volunteered in the community and remained faithful until the very end. After every Sunday service, she would always pass out candy (Butterscotch) or cookies to the children.
She graduated from South Girard High School in 1954 and went on to attend Alabama State University, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education in 1958. Soon after, she began teaching at Susie E. Allen Elementary School in Phenix City, AL and taught at Westview Elementary School, Phenix City, AL. Brenda relocated to East St. Louis, lL where she taught second grade. She retired from Hawthorne Elementary School in 1999, after 30 years of service.
While in East St. Louis, she became a faithful member of the Centreville Church of Christ until she relocated back to her hometown of Motts, Alabama.
"BB" was united in holy matrimony on December 23, 1972 to Howard Chambers and they enjoyed 34 years of marriage together until his death in 2007.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Howard Chambers; brother, Thomas Colquitt and sisters, Sarah Jowers and Mary Seldon.

Dear Family,
On behalf of the Motts Church of Christ family, we join others in sending condolences to your family due to the passing of our dear Sister Willie B. Chambers, who left us and stepped into eternity on this past week.
Sister Chambers was a beautiful and quiet soul. Her gentle spirit was always on display as she was a model of great strength and self-control. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, volunteered and remained faithful until the very end. It's a grave loss to the church community.
As a church we were very much devastated by her passing and are praying for God's heavenly comfort to you and hope that you will feel the strength of His love and presence as you go through this difficult time.
We are available and ready to be of any assistance to you. To God be all the Honor and the Glory!
Your church family,
MacArthur L. Cooper, Minister Motts Church of Christ Smiths Station, Alabama
