Mr. Willie C. Bellamy, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, June 1, 2022 at Canaan A.M.E. Church, Seale, AL with Rev. Vernon McLeod, officiating. Interment will follow in the new cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Willie C. Bellamy was born April 22, 1938, in Russell County, Alabama to Bradley Sr. and Melissa Bellamy who preceded him in death along with five brothers and one sister.
He departed this life on Wednesday May 25, 2022, at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, GA. Willie C. attended the Russell County schools. He accepted Christ and joined Canaan AME Church where he served faithfully as a loyal Trustee, Steward, and Son of Allen.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mildred Baker and unto this union they were blessed with five children.
Willie C Bellamy, affectionately known as “Fish” retired after 35 years of service from Swift Textile in Columbus, GA. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved family gatherings with his children, grandchildren, great grands along with in-laws, other family members, and friends.
Willie C. precious memories will be treasured by his loving wife of 63 years Mildred Bellamy; three sons Kenneth (Jackie) Bellamy, Calvin Bellamy of Phenix City, AL and Evan Bellamy of Columbus, GA; two daughters Gladys (John) McNeil and Delores (Marcus) Kennedy of Phenix City, AL; one brother Tommy Lee Bellamy; and one sister Catherine Gilliam of Phenix City, AL; one aunt Hattie Pitts; six sisters-in-law Daisy, Mary Francis, Betty, and Vena Bellamy, Arcola (Oscar) Cooper and Betty (Moses) Stukes; five brothers-in-law Roger, Booker T, Edwin, Elton, and R.T. (Essie) Baker; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
