Willie C. Huguley, 74, passed on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Friday, May 23, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Piere Primm, officiating. Burial to follow in Evening Sunset Memorial Gardens. Public viewing is 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Mr. Willie C. Huguley was born March 27, 1951 in Salem Alabama to the late Willie Mae Huguley. He attended South Girard High School. He met Shirley Ann Crowell in the 70s and shortly there after they were married in 1974. From their union two beautiful children were born. Willie C. received Christ at an early age and was a member of Shady Grove CME Church. He also devoted over 40 years of hard work and dedication at International Paper retiring in 2013.
Willie C. was devoted to his family and friends. He loved to laugh and wanted to see everyone around him happy. He was known as the "Grill Master" in the family, leaving others with the strong desire to follow in his footsteps. While he was a man a few words, his compassionate action spoke volumes. Willie C being the patriarch of the family, spent most of his time celebrating special occasions, and making memories.
On May 16, 2025, God in his infinite wisdom, mercy and grace called from among us a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was proceeded in death by his loving mother, brother, and sisters: M.C. Huguley, Roxy Gordon, David Huguley, and Idell Huguley.
His legacy of love and memories will be forever cherished by his beloved wife of 51 years Shirley Ann Huguley; his children, Dedrijinett "Dedra" Tate (Ret. COL Mark), Derrick Huguley (Pharisha) and Latonia Huguley; grandchildren, Claire, Sydney, Sabry and the baby girl De'Vinity Huguley; siblings, Mabel Gordon, Annie Joe Stevens (Billy), Jimmy Huguley, Annie Joyce Primm, Earnestine Huguley, Christine Huguley, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
