Obituary For Willie Glenn Hunt

Mr. Willie Hunt, 83, of Box Springs, GA passed Friday, September 16, 2022 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Monday, September 26, 2022 at New Bethel Seven Day Adventist Church, 2423 Woodruff Farm Road, Columbus, GA. with Pastor Gregory Saunders, officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation is Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. EST.

Mr. Hunt was born May 16, 1939 in Jonesboro, GA to the late Jessie Mae Hunt and the late Raymond Hunt, Sr. He was educated in the Clayton County School System.

He was a good and faithful servant. He worked for NYPD, Eastern Airlines, owner/operator of Hunts Trucking and member of New Bethel Seven Day Adventist Church where he served as a deacon and treasurer.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Mary Florence Hunt; mother, Jessie Mae Hunt; father, Raymond Hunt, Sr., brother, Raymond Hunt, Jr. and daughter, LaKesha Bolden.

Survivors include eight children, Tulesa O. Hunt Brewington (Randolph) of Coats, NC, Lynmeko Green (Yusuf) of Williamsburg, VA, Larry McDowell of Atlanta, GA, Elijah Hunt of Boxspring, GA, Jerimah Hunt of FL, Isaiah Hunt (Sharonda) of Atlanta, GA, Daniel Hunt of Austell, GA and Zechariah Hunt of Boxsprings, GA; one brother, Albert Hunt (Dollie) of Ellenwood, GA; one sister, Mary Ruth Hunt of Jonesboro, GA; two sisters-in-law, Doris Hunt of Jonesboro, GA; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren (with another one on the way) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends.
