On Tuesday January 2, 2024, Brenda Lee Stallsworth Starks transitioned to be with the Lord. She was the sixth child of nine children born to Nelson and Mattie Stallworth on May 11, 1955, in Gary, Indiana. Brenda graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, II. She moved to Nashville after graduation to live with her sister Susan Frank. She later met and married the love of her life George Starks. This union blessed them with one beloved son Shawn Starks.

She was employed for many years at Aladdin Synergetic, Inc. until she retired. She united with Mt. Paran PBC under the leadership of Elder Freeman H. Geter, III. She later united with Kyne M. B Church. Brenda enjoyed watching comedy shows on TV, cooking, and dancing. Brenda enjoyed being with family and friends. She was such a lovable and fun person to be around.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Robert Stallworth, Sr. and Mrs. Mattie McNeilly Stallworth; four sisters, Deborah Stallworth, Alveria Brown, Mildred Pasley and Miriam King; and three brothers, Clinton, Nathaniel, and Nelson Stallworth.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband, George Starks; devoted son, Shawn (Brittany) Starks; 2 granddaughters, Marjorie, and A'aliyha Starks; her only surviving sibling, her loving and devoted sister, Susan Frank; 8 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law cousins, Bennie (Eilean) Clark of Ft. Pierce, FL and Shirley Clark of Pierce, FL.; nieces, Cheryl (Tyrone) McGruder of Pensacola, Fl., Tjuana McNeilly of Atlanta, Ga, Yolanda Kimbro, Yvette Rideaux, Almeca Stallworth, Tiffany & Kiesha Stallworth of Gary, IN; nephews, Kenneth Stallworth of Orlanda, Fl. Michael Stallworth of Gary, IN,
Nathaniel Stallworth of Minneapolis, MN, Dwayne (Kimberly) Stallworth, Shawn Nelson Stallworth, 4 grand-nieces, 5 grand-nephews, a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins and friends.
