Obituary For Catherine Davis

Catherine Swett Davis Nashville, TN Born June 4, 1936, one of three children born to the union of Samuel Joseph and Pearl Williams Swett. She was raised and educated in Ashland City, Tennessee, until her parents relocated to Nashville. She is a graduate of Pearl High School Class of 1954. She departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was united in marriage to Warren G. Davis, and to this union, six daughters were born. Catherine worked at Genesco Shoe Factory for many years, however, later in life, she returned to school and became an LPN. She was employed by J.B. Knowles Home where she cared for the elderly for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; her brother, James Louis Swett and grandson, Jarrett Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Mary Phyllis Simmons; six daughters, Sandra (Ginger) Greene, Kayvonne (James) Bradley, Warreta Lavender, Edith (Ronald) Ballard, Cathy Davis and Phyllis Davis; 14 grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, close friends and neighbors. Viewing Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., with family present 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Terrell Broady Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6 - 7 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at Westwood Baptist Church - University Center, 2510 Albion Street, Reverend Barton E. Harris, Pastor. Interment will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hills of Calvary, 4411 Ashland City Highway, Nashville. Terrell Broady Funeral Home, Inc., (615) 244-4755
