Mr. Charles Leonard Jones was born August 10, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of John Polk and Beula Jones. Charles went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Advanced Healthcare of Nashville.

Charles was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. He was a 1962 Graduate of Pearl High School.

Charles met his soulmate who was the love of his life, Carrie E. Jones. They had a full life together that lasted over 47 years.

After High School Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his county as a First Sergeant in the Black Horse Regiment. After his service he received an honorable discharge. After his return to Nashville Charles found employment with the U.S. Postal Services where he worked for over 30 + years and was blessed to retire. Charles could never be idle, after retirement he worked as a crossing guard and was a bus driver for the school system.

When he was working, he enjoyed watching westerns, movies and his favorite football team, the Tennessee Titans.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, John Polk and Beula Jones Davidson, his lovely wife Carrie Jones, and his brother Ricky Davidson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Alice “Peaches” Smith, daughters, Stephanie Jones, Kim Milton, Nadine Milton, Kuwanda Tucker, LaDonna Fletcher, Sharita Milton, Crista Claiborne, Stacey Jones and Tiffany Jones, grandchildren, Ebony Jones, Krista Jones, Ta-Shawn Jones, Candice Owen, Edward Swafford, Lamont Moore, Erica Muse, LaTasha Milton, Nicolette Tucker, Nakesha Moore, Samantha Prysock, LaQuinta Milton, Joseph Bush, Christopher Pirtle, a host of great grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters, devoted niece, Sheryl Smith, nephew, Tim Smith, many other relatives and friends.
