Cora Goodwin-Robinson Nashville, TN Age 90 passed away on November 1, 2016 after a brief stay at Vanderbilt University Hospital. She was the seventh out of ten children born, March 24, 1926, to the late George W. and Ophelia Mayberry Russell. She retired from the Metro Nashville Public schools after over 30 years, and later taught at American Baptist College also in Nashville, TN. She was married for six wonderful years to the late James McKinley Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Rev. Alvin R. Goodwin Sr. (Rev. Dr. Kathy Ogletree); three grandchildren: Alvin Russell Goodwin, II, (LaShala Meco Porter), Alexis Raia Goodwin, Louisville, KY, Aaron Roderick Goodwin, Nashville, TN. Two great-grand children: Ayden Ra and Lena Ma'at Goodwin, Louisville, KY. Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Robinson M.D. (Rev. Marilynn Sasportas) Memphis TN, Maisha T. The Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 5th 2016 at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church beginning with visitation at 8:00 A.M. and Funeral at 10:00 A.M.
