Fannie Murray

Mrs. Fannie Mae Murray was born August 20, 1948, in Brooklyn, Alabama to the parents, Tom Davis and Louise Pickett Davis. Fannie answered her call to go from labor to get her reward on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Franklin, Tennessee.
Fannie was educated in Alabama, she was a 1966 graduate of Boteler High School which was near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She attended college and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.
Fannie married Lacey Murray and this marriage spanned from 1970 until his passing in 1998.
Fannie held leadership and supervisory positions in various food, law enforcement and manufacturing industries in the greater Nashville area. She faithfully served 20 years at Aladdin Industries, where she proudly earned many annual perfect attendance awards.
Fannie enjoyed cooking, entertaining, couponing and shopping. Fannie spent countless hours huddling over a crossword puzzle book. She was an avid sports fan and huge supporter of Alabama Football. “Roll Tide”!!!!
Fannie was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Louise Pickett Davis, husband Lacey Murray, son, Lacey Ivan Murray, six sisters, Josephine Doss, Dorothy Foster, Drucilla Fair, Sallie Nelson, Rhoda Ann Myers, and Lora Jean Springer, and four brothers, Tommie, Monroe, Willie and Clyde Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Terrance Murray and Jonathan Murray, daughter-in-law, Cleopatra Murray, grandchildren, Laci Murray, Miles Murray and Margaux Murray, beloved companion Malcolm Smith, brother, Johnnie (Veronica) Davis, sister, Rilla Ike, three sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Davis, Lolanda Davis, and Helen Ellison, four brothers-in-law, Raymond Springer, John Paul Murray, Joseph Barlow Gilbert Myers and Glen Ellison and a host of nephews, nieces, special friends as well as life-long friends of her sons who viewed her as “momma” and held an important impact in their lives.
