Survived by loving & devoted wife of over 49 years, Mary Patterson Murphy, loving children, , Crisundra (Solomon) Stephens, Erica (William) Kantz, Vanita Murphy, all of Nashville, TN; Howard (Donna) Scott, Hattiesburg, MS; and Reginald (Hope) Brown, Peachtree City, GA; loving grandchildren, Navia Stephens, Nicolas Murphy, Terrance (Tarase) McGee, Trey Scott, Tyler McGee, Nicholas Brown, and Triniti Scott; brothers, Lenard Murphy, William (Evelyn) Murphy; sister, Gwendolyn (Richard) Evans, all of Hattiesburg, MS; devoted sisters-in-law, Beulah Mitchell, Rosa Bradley, Jewell (Samuel) Otis, Brenda (Willie) Otis, Margaret (Charles) Sherrill; brother-in-law, John Patterson, Sr., all of Nashville, TN; adoring aunt, Ethel Rae (Nathaniel) Davis, Jackson, MS; uncles, LaPlose Jackson, Sr., Lorman, MS, Willard Murphy, Baton Rouge, LA; special friends, Herman Brady, Dwight Lewis, Alfonza Patrick, and Donald Whitehead; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved Scott Avenue church family.
