JC Hollingsworth, age 73, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Alive Hospice. He was born December 17, 1952 in Cheatham County, Tennessee, to the late Luchion and Mildred Hollingsworth. JC graduated from Cheatham County Central High School.

At an early age, he joined Second Baptist Church, where he was baptized. Later in life, he joined Noah’s Ark Primitive Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. JC joined the U.S. Army and served for about nine years. After returning from the Army, he worked at Ford Glass in Nashville, Tennessee. He also worked at Vanderbilt Hospital and the Metro Transit Authority.

His favorite football team was the UT Vols. He went so far as to have his sitting room painted orange and decorated with UT items.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luchion and Mildred Hollingsworth; a devoted wife, Sheila Hollingsworth; one son, Thomas C. Hollingsworth; and four brothers, Kevin Hollingsworth, Willie Smith, Timothy Hollingsworth, and Luther Hollingsworth.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons James Ronnie Davis of Nashville, TN and Esquire Thompson of Cookeville, TN; three sisters Lillie Buckner (Philip) of Pleasant View, TN, Regina Hollingsworth of Ashland City, TN, and Tammy Hollingsworth of Ashland City, TN; one brother John Hollingsworth (Deborah) of Clarksville, TN; two step-daughters Aletha Jemison (Calvin) of Nashville, TN and Trina Sadler of Nashville, TN; one step-son Garfield Thomas (Sharon) of Nashville, TN; a devoted friend, Lorie Gray of Nashville, TN; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
