Linda Louise Russell was born on January 15, 1957, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Kathryn and Frank Russell, hard-working business owners who owned and operated McCalls cab service. Raised in a close-knit family, Linda was the fourth of six siblings: Deloris, Frank, Robert, Anita, and Thomas.

Linda was a graduate of Pearl High School, where she distinguished herself as a diligent and dedicated student with a deep appreciation for English literature. While employed at AT&T and working in the corporate office, she continued her education at Belmont University while raising her eldest child, Lamont.

She later married Phillip Henry, and from this union, their daughter, Dymonde, was born. A promotion at AT&T eventually led Linda to relocate from her hometown to Atlanta, Georgia, where she later gave birth to her youngest child, Lexis.

Linda had a passion for cooking, and her time in the kitchen was a labor of love. She often prepared the family’s Thanksgiving meals as an expression of her devotion to her family. She was especially known for her signature dishes, including dressing, macaroni and cheese, and banana pudding.

Linda accepted Christ at a young age and remained steadfast in her Christian faith throughout her life. She worshiped at Belle Meade United Primitive Baptist Church, Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church, and later joined Free Chapel in Atlanta, GA, where she remained a dedicated member until her passing.

Service to others was deeply important to Linda. Volunteering—both through the church and within her neighborhood—was something she enjoyed thoroughly. She often brought her daughters to local women’s shelters, instilling in them the values of faith, gratitude, compassion, and service.

In retirement from LexisNexis, Linda looked forward to pursuing a lifelong passion for voice-over acting, embracing the opportunity to explore a second career and a new creative chapter in her life.

Above all else, Linda was a devoted and loving mother. She remained a constant presence in her children’s lives, offering unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love.

Linda is survived by her beloved children, Robert Lamont Russell, Dymonde Henry (Justin Agim) and Lexis Williams; her siblings, Frank Allen Russell, Robert Russell, Anita Cartmell, and Thomas Russell; and her grandchild and great-grandchildren, Shay, Marley, Mason, and Milan and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.

Linda will be remembered for her enduring love, quiet strength, and generous spirit. Her presence was a gift, and her legacy lives on through her children and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
