Maurice Dillard

Maurice Andre’ Dillard was born November 13, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Jessie Dillard and Julius Mitchell. He departed this peaceful life on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Stant Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.

Maurice was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools and was a graduate of Maplewood High where he played basketball, football, and was a member of a dance troop.

He was employed by a number of Nashville businesses-one of which was Red Shield Community Center.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and he loved to sing gospel music. Maurice loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Maurice was preceded in death by Darrell Walker.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted mother, Jessie Dillard, father, Julius Mitchell, brother, KeAnthony Dillard, aunts, Elaine (Tim) Buchanan, Gertrude (Ralph) Lortheidget. Uncle, John (Sarah) Mitchell, Nathaniel Mitchell and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Devoted friends Marvin Bates, Reggie (Block) and many loving friends.
