Thelma Solomon Scott
Feb 26, 1927 — Jun 26, 2026
Thelma Solomon Scott was born in Clayton, Alabama, the daughter of Rev. John Henry Solomon and Marie Solomon.
At an early age, Thelma came to know Christ as her Lord and Savior at Webster Church of God, and later united with Mt. Airy Church of God, where her faith would anchor her in Jesus. She received her education in the public school system.
Thelma was united in marriage to Harry Thomas Sr., and to that union three children were born: Harry Thomas Jr., Delores Thomas, and Ronald Thomas. In later years, she was joined in marriage to Joseph Scott.
A woman of industry and heart, Thelma was an entrepreneur who lovingly cared for the homes of several families throughout her years. In her leisure, she found joy in sewing, fishing, and baking—gifts of her hands that blessed all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John Henry and Marie Solomon; her siblings RJ Solomon, Robert Solomon, Henry Solomon, Johnny Solomon, her children, Delores Johnson, Harry Thomas Jr., and Ronald Thomas; and her husbands, Harry Thomas Sr. and Joseph Scott.
Thelma leaves to cherish her precious memory her grandchildren, Anthony Thomas (Tina), Kevin Thomas, Kenneth Thomas, Odessa Walker, and Harris Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
