“Vonda • Tussie • Pooh Bear” Trovondia Denise Washington, affectionately known as Vonda, Tussie, and Pooh Bear, entered this life as a radiant gift to her parents, Richard Ernelle Crutcher (who preceded her in death) and Mother Valarie Denise Washington. From the very beginning, she carried a spark — the kind that made people laugh, shake their heads, and love her all at once.

Educated in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, Trovondia made friends easily and memories loudly. She professed her love for Christ early in life and was baptized at Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Greater Zion Primitive Baptist Church, serving under the leadership of Elder Robert W. Howse, Sr.

Trovondia lived with a humor that could brighten the darkest day — and sometimes start the trouble she later laughed about. She had a gift for saying what everyone else was thinking but was too scared to say out loud. Her laughter was unmistakable, her honesty unmatched, and her love for her family unwavering. She was the one who could make you laugh at a moment you probably weren’t supposed to… and somehow you would be the one getting in trouble for it.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Valarie Washington; grandparents Theodore and Margaret Washington; grandparents Charlie and Alice Faye Bowers; her loving aunts and uncles Sharon (Jerry) Ferrell, Cedrick (Kim) Washington, Stacey (Ashley) Washington, Adrian (Keisha) Washington, Tamla Verge, and Jai L. (Laura) Paxton. She was preceded in death by her uncle Robert J. Daniels, IV.

She is also survived by her siblings Keeuna (Chauncey) Kimble, Brian Washington, Hope Beasley, Faith Beasley, Matthew Ryan Pillow, Sheron Windrow, and La’Dashea Summers; her nephews Kamren Kimble, C.J. Kimble, and Khyrie Washington; her niece Kassidi Kimble; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Friends and Cousins who adored her, tolerated her jokes, and will forever miss her commentary.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her laughter echoes, her love remains, and her memory continues to show up — usually right on time, and usually with a joke.
