Esther Zell Howard Willis was born May 17, 1927, to the late Leonard and Leola Howard in Talbot County, Ga. She was reared along with six brothers and two sisters. She was educated in Talbot County, Georgia school system. She was a firm believer in education and was proud of her eleven children, grand & great grandchildren, attending college and other professional schools. She joined the Powell Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Her early work experience was in the Peach Industry and her father’s family food service business in Talbot County, Ga.
She was united in holy matrimony to Arthur Clarence Willis Sr, on July 19, 1947, and to this union twelve children were born. She was proceeded in death by son James Gordy Willis at 5 months, her husband Arthur C. Willis Sr, and son Floyd Willis. Her memories will be cherished and celebrate by her devoted children; Howard Willis, Calvin (Loretta)Willis, Willie Leornard (Sylvia) Willis, Arthur (Emma Jean) Willis Jr., Faye Willis, Dorothy Jones, Terrie Patterson, Hilda (La Juan) Ford, Jammie (Peggy) Willis and Maurice Willis. One daughter in law; Patricia Willis, three Sister in laws Henrietta Howard, Mandy Howard and Catherine Howard. She leaves 23 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

We can't quite find the right words to say on here guys. But just know that we are now and have been family for the past 48 years. And we know how it feels to lose Mama. Mama Willis did a fantastic job raising her family and her job here is done. She's back with Papa Bud now and will be truly missed. May she Rest in Peace.
