Bro. George Edward Willis was born on June 18, 1945 to the late Rufus Willis Sr. & Ruth Louise Willis. He gained his wings on March 31, 2020.

He was a 1963 graduate of Ruth Carter High School. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army in October of 1965. Bro. Willis received the following: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and a Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device.

He was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Louise Barnes on May 3, 1969.

Edward loved to fish, travel, listen to jazz and blues and spend time with his family and friends.

He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memories: his loving wife of 50 years, Dorothy Louise Willis; five children: Schequlia Willis and Kimberly Willis of Woodland, GA; Raven Willis of Atlanta, GA; Kelvin (Kristie) Staples of Wadley, AL and Kathryn (Phillip) SanGabriel of Bowie, MD; two sisters: Wycene Willis and Linda Carter of Talbotton, GA; one brother: Rufus Willis, Jr of McDonough, GA; six grandchildren: Jenice and Jawaun Neal of Woodland, GA; Jasmine and DeKevion Staples of Wadley, AL; Lillian and Haley SanGabriel of Bowie, MD; one special cousin/best friend Greg Willis of Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
