Born on Thursday, September 9, 1954, in Talladega, AL, Audrey spent his entire life surrounded by the love of his family and friends in his hometown. Audrey was the cherished son of the late Willie Lee Ledford and Eva Lou Ledford.
Audrey attended Talladega County Training School. As a laborer and a talented shade tree mechanic, he was known for his work ethic and ability to fix just about anything. Audrey's love for motorcycles was well-known, and he was a proud member of the Rolling Hawks Motorcycle Club (nickname CUJO) and the Van Club. His passion for riding brought him many friendships and countless adventures on the open road.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sherria Williams, and his sons, Tarrus (Laquella) Garrett, Torrei (Kia) Garrett, Arron Garrett, Darius Garrett, and Nasair Calhoun. Audrey was the proud grandfather of eighteen grandchildren and treasured his countless great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Audrey's siblings, Cynthia Briggins, Willie Jean (Emmett) Garrett, Sandra (Michael) Tuck, Teresa (Willie) Robinson, Jacqueline Johnson, Terry (Evelyn) Ledford, Samuel (Sarah) Ledford and Stanley Ledford, remember him as a guiding light and supportive brother. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and many of his extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Eva Lou Ledford, and siblings, Spencer Ledford and Bertha Clark. Audrey leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his devoted family.
Audrey's family and friends will forever remember him as a vibrant and caring soul, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word. His legacy of love and strength will be carried on by all who knew and loved him.
