Obituary For Betty Louise Cunningham
Betty was born on Wednesday, August 27, 1952, in Pell City, Alabama to Johnnie Paul and Glenella Cunningham.
Betty was a cherished member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Ragland, Alabama. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found immense joy in attending Bible study sessions at Talladega Healthcare. She was a graduate of Pell City High School. Betty filled her days with activities she loved—especially Bingo and word searches.
Betty's vibrant spirit and kind nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her dear sister Pauline (Frank) Ward of Dearborn, Michigan, and her brother, Robin (Georgia) Clay of Lithia Springs, Georgia. Her legacy continues through her adored nieces, Litisha (Cory) Karssen of Flat Rock, Michigan, Felicia Ward (Aaron) Crawford, Sr. of Louisville, Kentucky, Rachel Karssen of Flatrock, Michigan and Litisha Crawford of Louisville, Kentucky; as well as her nephews, Desmond Karssen of Flat Rock, Michigan, Brian J. Clay of Lithia Springs, Georgia and Aaron Crawford, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky. Betty also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Betty passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Grandview Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Paul and Glenella Cunningham, who guided her with love and wisdom; and her grandmother, Rachel Howard Thomas.
