Mr. Bryan “Red” Wells was born on August 10, 1967, in Talladega, Alabama, to Tommie Lee Wells and the late Edna Mae Wells. He was educated in the Talladega Public School System and spent most of his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, Bryan transitioned to his eternal rest at Baptist Hospital in Talladega, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Edna Mae Wells, whose memory he always cherished.
Bryan leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted father, Tommie Wells; one loving son, Brian Jamal Shepherd of Talladega, Alabama; two loving daughters, Keoiyus Keith and Britney McClendon, both of Huntsville, Alabama; and two loving sisters, Tonett Wells and Meldrikka McKinney, both of Talladega, Alabama. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Kardia Calhoun, Jayce Shepherd, Phynlee Shepherd, Jaxson Shepherd, Blaire Sturdivant, and Clarke Sturdivant, who brought great joy and pride to his life.
Bryan was affectionately known as “Red” by many who loved him. He had a passion for barbecuing and could often be found grilling while surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter and good conversation. He was also a dedicated sports fan who especially loved football and watching Westerns. Bryan proudly cheered for the University of Alabama always shouting “Roll Tide!” and remained a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
More than anything, Bryan loved spending time with his family and friends. Whether watching a game, grilling outdoors, or simply enjoying each other's company, he treasured every moment and believed in making memories that would last a lifetime.
Bryan’s presence, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In addition to his immediate family, he will be deeply missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends whose lives he touched along the way.
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”❤
