Obituary For David Archie Groce

Graveside services for Mr. David Archie Groce, 53, will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Union Springs Church Cemetery. Reverend E. L. Jacobs will officiate. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Mr. David Archie Groce was born on Sunday, October 16, 1966, to Lorene Groce Garrett in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Groce became a member of Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was a graduate of Talladega High School. David was previously employed in manufacturing.

On evening Wednesday, August 19, 2020, David answered the calling of his Lord and Savior at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene G. Garrett; and a sister, Annette Groce.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Geraldine Groce of Birmingham, Alabama; four brothers, Leon (Kella) Groce of Talladega, Alabama, Willie (Alisa) Groce and Jerome Groce of Birmingham, Alabama and Jerry W. (Peggy) Groce Killeen, Texas; two aunts, Laura Groce and Lillie Groce of Talladega, Alabama; four special friends, Kenny Jones, Otis Dark, Michael Calhoun and Stacy Harris; he was a father figure to Ebony Harris, Kunana Harris and Jermaine Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
