Graveside service for Dorothy Nell Cunningham Miller, 81, of Eastaboga will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Kelly Springs Memorial Garden. Reverend Roger Montgomery will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-7 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the funeral home.
On September 2, 1941, Dorothy Nell Turner began her earthly journey in Talladega, Alabama born to the union of Carcile and Beatrice Britton Turner.
Ms. Turner confessed Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior and united with Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Ophelia S. Hill High School. On July 8, 1961, Dorothy gave her hand in marriage to William B. Cunningham and to this union four children were born. Dorothy later established herself professionally in a career with Hager Hinges in Calhoun County.
Precious memories of Mrs. Cunningham will forever be in the heart of her daughter, Vanessa (Reginald) Nash of Fort Mitchell, AL; three sons, Robert Cunningham, Bruce (Katrina) Cunningham and Michael Cunningham of Eastaboga, AL; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On March 22, 2023, Dorothy came to the end of her earthly journey and was reunited with her husband, William B. Cunningham; her parents, Carcile and Beatrice Turner; and five siblings, Mattie Yow, Olivia Mosley, James Turner, J C Turner and Curtis Turner.
